Take Action to protect our water and farmland from aggregate mines

The deadline for public comments to the Aggregate Resource Act review hearings is next Tuesday, July 17 at 5:00 pm.  We have a sample letter for you to send on the GPO web site.

The GPO and numerous community groups scored a big victory during the fall election campaign when we forced the government to agree to review the Aggregate Resources Act.  This was in response to the proposed mega quarry in my riding of Dufferin Caledon, but it affects pits and quarries across Ontario.

The committee needs to hear from you that clean air and water, local food sources, and the well-being of our communities must come first.

Write to the committee today and encourage a friend to as well.
