Fun fact: I had to decide some party policy right on the spot during this appearance on TVO's The Agenda.
Before we went to air I discussed the CEB with Mr. Shurman. The PCs called for eliminating it over 10 years in their energy whitepaper. But he said that doesn't mean they will campaign on it.
I take that to mean anything in the PC whitepapers that would be good fiscal policy, but might require some honesty with Ontarians about costs, will never see the light of day in a campaign.
Incredible that a party with 'conservative' in it's name can't make a promise to adopt a policy that would shave the deficit by 10% and also promote conservation from electricity users.
