About Kevin

Kevin O'Donnell was born and raised in Ottawa and returned home after working in Vancouver in order to be closer to family. Originally settling down in Westboro Kevin has since moved east to Hampton Iona where he lives with his four year-old daughter. He is grateful for the opportunity to raise his daughter in a safe and walkable community that has good community services, schools, access to greenspace and public transit. (version française)

Kevin has combined his integrity and reliability with a passion for his community, making him an excellent representative for the residents of Ottawa Centre. Kevin understands the necessity of putting his values into action to make a real difference in his community, and he possesses the work-ethic and skills to carry through on his commitments. -- Mike Schreiner, GPO Leader

Kevin has worked in the Information Technology industry for sixteen years since attending the University of Waterloo Computer Science program. He began his career on the ground floor at a small company, and after employee and contract positions at Telus, Nortel, the Department of National Defence and Halogen Software, he is now a senior software developer at Bell Canada, a position he has held since 2006. He is also a long time small business owner, an occupation where he has learned that honesty and reliability are qualities customers value after they have given someone their trust.

Kevin and daughter Olivia

Kevin volunteers for his local community group and is currently their representative in Ottawa's Western Light Rail Transit environmental assessment. Since receiving the Green Party's nomination in 2010 Kevin has been visiting with local community groups to hear their concerns about rapid over-intensification, small-scale in-fill developments and local traffic issues.

Kevin is proud to be your provincial Green Party candidate for Ottawa Centre.
